Dr. Vickey Maclin
Dr. Maclin is the Associate Director of Graduate Programs in Counseling at
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC.

TOPIC:
"Multicultural & Racial Trauma:
Therapeutic Sensitivities"
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will be able to identify the importance of ethical considerations when providing counseling with racially or ethnically diverse clients.
- Participants will be able to assess and critique current practices when providing counseling to racially and ethnically diverse clients who are affected by trauma.
- Participants will be able to explain the benefits of engaging with clients of color about trauma related racial and cultural spaces in their lives.
